'Fraid not. When BC Ferries was about to start using the Fastcats, they slightly upgraded berth 3, and the ramp leading up to the upper half of it. They left berth 2, untouched, and sits the same way it did 20 years ago, now. That was the berth for the C-Class ferries. I rememeber all of the school trips I made over to the Mainland, and utilizing berth 2 with the Cowichan, and it would be the last sailing of the night, and the Pacificat Explorer was sitting in berth 3, while the passenger deck looked like a full scale disco hall (flashing neon lights), except with nobody on board.

The SoBC will not be making this late night sailing. It will be the SoVI, which will not make a 9 pm sailing as per the following...

You know what this also means? You can see both Spirits at Tsawwassen due to the fact the VI is staying there till 11:35 and the SOBC arrives at 10:35.

Which means the Vancouver's will unload at berth 3, than move to berth 2, so the New West and Alberni can unload and load in berth 3 and the Bowen can utilize at berth 1. The spirits of course have priority at berths 4, 5.

I've seen the SOVI in berth 5, and the SOBC out of service in berth 3, while I was on the Alberni leaving berth 4. That was a neat sight. That was January 2003 I believe.....

She is on Route 1 on Saturday. Only doing Route 2 on Thursday and Friday. When your first post was up, she was supposed to be on Rte 2 I'm pretty sure - 22 Jul was the day the Oak Bay sailed back to enter service on the 23rd? By the time of your second post they'd accelorated repair by a day and a half, thus ruining my excursiojn tomorrow.

They shouldent be messing around and getting rid of sailings after a crazy busy day today I sure as hell wouldent be getting rid of any sailings. Saturdays are the only days they dont have an 8pm sailing.

BC Ferries really should be letting people know they have cancelled the 9pm tonight as it looks like alot of people have shown up tonight probably expecting a 9pm seeing there isent any notice about it. Instead they have to wait till 10pm. That would piss me off even though there will be an 11:30pm sailing they need to better inform the public about changes like this!

Apparently they cancelled the 10 out of Swartz just to keep an extra berth, how dumb is that?

Apparently they cancelled the 10 out of Swartz just to keep an extra berth, how dumb is that? And that just so happens to also allow BCFS to not have to spend any extra fuel costs when compared with a normal Saturday schedule.

On BCF's website it says they were adding a late-night sailing to take island passengers home following the Steve Nash basketball game. In fact they added nothing - just delayed a sailing by two and a half hours. Honesty in advertising - it would help.

According to the schedule, 8pm sailings are daily, RBI says that there are 10 pm sailings on Saturday. Where is your proof mr fossett?
