I know pet's are allowed on the car decks, but not the Passenger decks, why not? Shoud certain types of Pets be allowed on the Passenger deck? (Cats, Dogs, Goldfish e.t.c.)

this is a hygenie issue. some people may have alleriges to animals. if you are allowed to take a small animal up on to the passenger deck this may cause somebody to have an allergic reaction.

It's common sense pets are not allowed up. What would you do when a dog craps in the buffet or pisses in Passages? Then after that's happened little Tommy's throat will become inflamed because he's allergic to Snoopy...

... and I would assume you could probably get away with a goldfish on the passenger deck.

Shave the guide dog?
Guide dogs won't run amok in the passenger area. The big boats have pet seating areas on the lower deck. It's not the most pleasant place to spend 95 mins, but it's better than nothing.

This also applies to guide dogs in training. They are permitted. These are not BCF rules but come under the jurisdiction of Transport Canada and the BC Ministry of Health

How about a section of the outside deck? so people can take them for a walk (not to pee/poo). Actually have a little sandy area for that.

Ya, just keep the dogs below! What happens if someone with a pit bull comes up top and the dog tears a young kid's face to shreds? LAW SUITS! Something we don't need ANY MORE of!

Cats would tear up the seats with their claws. Keep ALL animals down below unless it's a guide dog.

Why the hell would you even bring a cat up top if it was to be in a box there the whole time though?

Theres a chance a cat could be OK except for the fact of sleeping anywhere

The last time I flew to Edmonton I saw a lady boaring our plane holding a cat! Why the hell would you bring you cat onboard! Put them in crate in the cargo hold! I seen dogs in crates going down below! I am surprised WestJet allowed that at the time!
