Well it shouldn't be any different than saving pictures off the net and then uploading them to your site. So what I'm guessing you gotta do is just upload it by browsing through the file you saved it in.

all you have to do is ask. sometimes it takes knowing people in the right places. my dad cannot go on a ferry without getting invited back to the bridge.

Yeah you use that to post it on here, but you have to put it on your website first and then put the URL of that picture from the site in the spot that says URL there.

I lived in Sidney when it happen - and the main problem was the lack of up to date charts on the Russian vessel - plus they where speeding and there radar look out was not on his station. Added to it the BCFS captain though he had right of way. Mix it all up and add in the language problem, plus we were at the top of the "cold war" period between us and them......
You are also forgeting the other problem - when it happen - the American Navy was put on full alert - and steamed to the site - which added to the problem. I bet you will not find any pictures of the Yanks and there boats in your archives at BCTV - that bit was put well under the bed.......

Here is something else I found - so what do we think about the way BC and the American Coast Guard think about ferries.
"You will recall that the debate arose out of the questioning in this House on the decision of the Minister to give a contract for $10,000 to an American firm of marine architects - Nikum Spalding - to do preliminary design work, sketch-work, for two new ferries. And the debate or at least the questioning and the replies - I guess we could call it debate in a general sense - the debate arose over whether or not this could have gone to a Canadian firm.
That was the first question which was raised and then later on we got onto the question of safety.
To briefly recapitulate: the two principal concepts which are in opposition are those of the American and Canadian coastguards. Essentially the American coast guard has a concept whereby if a ship gets into trouble - at least if the Washington state ferries get into trouble within an area which is relatively shelving, islands nearby, a good amount of other traffic nearby, the safest thing to do is to keep people on the boat and not give them the opportunity of drowning themselves by their attempt to escape from a vessel on fire, a vessel involved in a collision or a vessel involved in grounding. It's the Titanic concept: you make a boat safe and you don't let people get off.
The Canadian coast guard concept, by contrast, if you will permit me to recapitulate again, is that you provide the full opportunity for people to get off the boat - full opportunity to abandon ship, in other words."
The above was a cut and paste from a BC Government report given to the house - by the NDP = of all people.

okay. heres the thing, when you want to take something straight off you computer it requires a few steps
1) Get a Webserver (aka, Apache "Apache.org") 2) Move your Pictures there 3) Get your IP (http://www.ipchicken.com) 4) type that IP into the {img} Tag 5) Voila Photos from your computer (hint: you need your computer to stay on permanently or we cant see the photos, when its off it can no longer server the pictures. same if you dont have an always on internet service like broadband)

You could set up a Yahoo! photo album. I'd let you but I'm too busy with maintaining a Battle of the Bands site, which I will post in my signature really soon, when I have it set up and all, and because I'm cheap I'm obviously just going to use my sitesled account and then use a cjb.net redirect just like with my site.
