Thw Sidney is docked in Mission. For all I know it is visible from the Lougheed (I did see it once from the highway).

Yes, the Sydney is parked outbound of the SS San Mateo, and the Albert J is parked behind the pair, repainted, and renamed.

We have all talked about the "Queen of Sidney" on another link - but I would like to see some up to date pictures of her - plus details on where they are - (Owners) with regard to there plans for her. One other "guess" - mentioned a "100's" of ideas - but the link sort of died out.
Plus - and I know we have covered this subject a few times - it is still not very clear on who owns the name "Queen of Sidney"

The Albert J Savoie is currently tied up in Cowichan Bay.Rainy River Logging owns the Savoie. The Queen of Sydney is owned by Arthur's Marine. The ship tied up outbound the Sydney is the Talupus. As I have indicated in the link that Cascade spoke of, the Sydney's fate is still up in the air. We are in no hurry to do anything in particular with her.We have been selling equipment/parts off the Sydney. We are comfortable with her status . It has been a big project, but has worked out well so far.Cascade, get me your email address and I'll send you a couple of pics. Does anybody know the current location of the sidney and albert j savoie?

Yes - Queen of Sidney - if they don't want it. I'll buy it from them. The project is a "work in progress". We have already identify what and where it would go. Costings have been reviewed - not just for this vessel - but two other ones - if the Queen is not on the market.
and NO it is not for sale for scrap.
A lot of the chat on this forum has helped in putting together a proposal - "what do we do with the older vessels - heritage" ect...... I do pay attention to what a lot of you people talk about.

(horrified gasp) It can't be! The first ship built by BCF is modified and the BCF design is no more

Hed probably take it back to Europe, change the colors to match P and O and change its name to make it look like a historical Europe ferry. Figures...

Be nice or you might not be able to go to Europe with me and Harbourlynx Kid. Cascade can give us a group deal if we can get at least 6 people to go!
