there is a lot of money and political clout on the southern gulf islands. i personally know about 6 families that are big time corporate players i both vancouver and toronto and a couple of connections to the l.a. scene. as a courtesy to the privacy of these people i will not name any names but will say that a couple of them are names you would obviously know. i also have a couple of politicians as summer property neighbours near my gulf island property. so clout and money is there.

West Vancouver is the richest per capita municipality in Canada. It's as simple as that.

It's West Vancouver, look at StasCan. I don't really feel like doing it. They also have the highest reposession rate in Canada.

I do, I don't think she needs to be retired yet.

I am currently "lifting" the Queen of Nanaimo in Photoshop. I should have it done and uploaded onto my Webshots Website within 20 minutes....

If possible, I wish to work on a stretched passenger deck on the Queen of Alberni for my next project but that's only if this works out good. It would take a great deal more time as well as there is nothing to copy from.

Soft spot in my heart for the Nanny. She was the 1st ship I sailed on (working) Hope they keep her around for a bit. She looks in good shape from the exterior. I haven't ridden on her for many years however. Can anyone tell me how she looks on the inside?

considering the age of the interior of the Queen of Nanaimo, she's in apparently great condition. I really have to commend the crew of the Nanaimo for their stringent upkeep of the ageing belle.
