Great photos of the interior of MV Quinault. When I rode the old girl 3 years ago, she was spotless. Even the washroom sparkled along with her lovely brass rails. One could tell that her crew was dedicated to keeping her in such great shape. Glad to see her looking so good! I guess that there is a good chance that the Quinault Galley will reopen this summer as she goes back to her regular run.

That was one thing that was evident. The crew cares about the boat. It was beautiful inside...I could not believe how shiny the brass was. Everything seems clean (inside). Then, I saw the amount of rust outside BTW: this is the first time that I have seen (or paid attention) a general alarm that is brass...usually, they are red, or rust colored.

Ditto for me. The Evergreen State looked like crap compared to the interior of the Quinault. Although it was sad to see rust streaks down both sides of her nameplate on the front.

Look at what each boat is starting with... the Q-boat's interior has a head start. You can't polish a t*rd...

That's a good point...Last time that I checked, the EVERGREEN STATE did not have much that could be polished...except the floor, that actually looks really good.

Cool photos. I enjoy seeing more interior photos of the WSF ships. I would feel nervous myself taking interior photos on WSF. Even BC Ferries there is always crews around doing cleaning at the end of a sailing so it's so hard to get interior shots without looking suspicious, lol!

That's why I cover the interior photos for EvergreenFleet whenever possible. Everyone I work with knows I'm eccentric but harmless.

I am curious to know if WSF is going to stick to the schedule of the 3 vessels at Edmonds/Kingston ending tomorrow or do they need to extend it a little longer.
I have lost track of what boats go where during this recent 'bout with "maintenence interuptus".

I try to get ones when there is nobody in the shot...It is rather easy at Kingston, given the low amount of foot traffic in the mid-day. It is a bit more challenging where they use the overhead walkway, like Bremerton. Everybody waits until the big crowds are gone. It is much easier when they use the car deck for walk ons, as everybody goes down early, deserting the cabin.

But then do you get ferry employees wondering around up top when your trying to take photos wondering what you are doing??, lol! If it's not the passengers it's the employees you run into, lol!

Some simple photo guidelines.
1. Try to get little to no people in your picture some people don't like getting their picture taken and published on the Internet especially if it's something embarrassing in the Photo I think you can get sued that way.
2. Keep a low profile so nobody is wondering "Why the Heck is that Guy/Girl Taking Pictures of Everything?"
3. Avoid the Crew as much as possible unless you have some type of connection to the crew So you don't need to fill out any forms and they don't think you're some type of terrorist.

I didn't realize that taking photos would be such a problem these days. When I was growing up in Seattle in the 50's & 60's folks would be snapping pictures all over the place. How times do change!

Also try and take less busy sailings. Those sailings can be good for photo taking.

Well, we're back to the ho-hum two boat sailings now. The Puyallup and Spokane are back.

And, there are delayed sailings already because of "Police activity"
