From what was mentioned over in the Ferries of the Salish Sea group on Facebook, the Tillikum is scheduled to remain in service through at least 2025 and is scheduled to go into drydock in Summer 2023. Will Tillikum remain in service or be spare until retire?

They wouldn't sink money into drydocking it to let it sit around as a spare. The fleet is too small at this point, so anything that can sail is going to sail. Figure Tillikum stays on inter-island duty until they finally let her go.

Oh and when is it going to be retired it’s the end of 2022 its probably not going to be retired until a we get more boats, so at least 3 years probably longer They will probably wait until the new boat (wishkah) or lease the stealicom II

Yeah, it's been a mess in the islands the last couple of days. Samish went down yesterday morning, so they operated a 3 boat schedule, and were able to get Tillikum up there for today. This is the alert on the WSDOT site: Winter is high season for vessel maintenance, so that may explain the lack of suitable available vessels to replace Samish. In any case, Tillikum is not good as a mainline boat, as it's slower speed cannot keep the schedule, but I guess it's better than nothing.

Has the tilikum ever been on the port towensed route? No, vessel's draft is too deep to fit into Keystone Harbor.
