Great shots of the mv Quinsam! While the vessle departed I was Standing at the 5th window back from the front of the vessle on the Port Side. You Can't see me in the pictures though. Anyway for your info the yacht that you see in those pictures is called the Infinity, I noticed the name through my Binoculars. The land that those appartments are on is indeed the formal CPR Docks and Terminal Locations.

Gosh. The Surrey looks EXACTLY like The Joke Bay! Spec 4 spec. (Rolls eyes in disgust) Don't get me wrong, It's nice people take pics & post them, but again, with all this upgrading, they have COMPLETELY stripped away any individuality the ships once had. Sure, they may be more efficient & safe, maybe even cleaner, but now pretty much the only way you can tell from inside what "C" class you're on, is to walk right up to the nameplate. I don't know about you, but I LIKED when the ships had carpets. gave them a more luxurious feel. Now, with all the laminated floors, you may as well be walking down a hospital corridor. They're THAT sterile. Ironically, I remember when WACKY Bennett started BCF, he wanted to make his ships as different from ships like the Seattle ferries as possible. Now, they look more like them inside than ever.

Yup it holds 48 Hot Wheels cars. It doesn't float well at the moment but it will when I fit on a styrofoam top we found that fits perfectly on the bottom it will look so much better

No need to do that, just make the hull and make it hollow, then it works like a proper ship because it is the air that is holding the ship above the water.

Hey, you come visit me down here someday and we might just decide where to host the model ferry club. I just rescued a pirate ship from the rubbish a week ago, it is not in seaworthy condition right now but will be once it is done, the sail needs to be reattached and the mast needs to be reglued to the ship itself. Then it has to be painted.

Graham, All I can say is that the photos you have taken are EXCELLENT! And I haven't even gone through all of them yet! I have a "Special interest" for the B and moreso V class, as that is what I grew up with. I was on the bridge of the Esquimalt back in 1983 and unfortunately I only had a piddly Kodak instamatic to "Capture the moment". Nice to see some good quality pics of that bridge. Anyway, back to browsing the rest of your images...Oh, by the way, you mind if I download a few and list them on ebay?? (I'd NEVER do that!! Sorry, the facetious side of me coming out......) Cheers, Darren

Greetings from Quadra Island.
I've taken 2 rolls of film photos, mostly of Tenaka & area landscapes.
In a couple of weeks, I'll post the pics (old school film photos), that show the detail of the Tenaka and the route that she sails.
I got a bridge tour of Tenaka (ex "Comox Queen") yesterday.....she's a little beauty of a ship. 6 sailings per day, sailing across the Top-End of Georgia Straight, at Sutil Channel. As she sails, there is a wall of islands to the north, and open Georgia Straight to the south.
I'll get those pics up in a couple of weeks.....or hopefully next week sometime, Black's willing.

My photos will also be up soon. I have pictures/ video of the Mill Bay, Howe Sound Queen, Quinsam, Tenaka, Powell River Queen, Tachek, Queen of Prince Rupert, Kwuna, and the Nicola. I am staying at a hostel right now and don't have all those photos/videos but I am going on The QOPR tomorrow. My pictures and video will be up by Friday.

Well, I'm back from my trip and the photos are loaded! I do take alot more photos, but delete 60% of them. Some of them look exactly the same! Anyways, here is the link: ca.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/sgoerzen/my_photos Enjoy! ;D (It is under BC Ferries 3) Umm just a couple questions, where and how do I upload my videos? And is there a place I can do some editing for free?

(Including what I wonder might be CP's BCCSS' former Nanaimo termianl) Cheers.
It is a former CPR slip, but it is the E&N Railway/Seaspan Coastal Intermodal barge slip in Nanaimo.
