Hello Might someone please be able to tell me how to post pictures. I tried but they didn't show up. I've never posted pictures to this forum so I'm still trying to figure out how everything here works.

Hello
Thanks for your help Flugel Horn. Well, here are the pictures. I went to Horseshoe Bay for an hour today and caught a couple of ferries. Then I went and stopped off in North Van to see the Queen of Alberni in the last stages of its Mid Life Refit. Taken on May 28, 2007.

[ftp]http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=4mb8or5[/ftp] The Queen of Capilano coming in.
[ftp]http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=62n60s2[/ftp] The Queen of Surrey was the last ferry I got to see come in today.

The Alberni is looking nice and spiffy, I can't wait to see her on this side. (Vancouver Island) before she returns to service .

Nice pictures, Balto. Thanks!
I kind of figured the Alberni would be back in the water this weekend. When I drove by her a little over a week ago, she just had primer on, and was sitting in the drydock. It sure doesn't take long for them to paint the ship back to normal again!

It sure doesn't take long for them to paint the ship back to normal again! I agree and this further proves a point. WMG yards have become very proficient at the upgrade/refit business. I would think that without the skilled-manpower shortages, their on-time ratio would be much higher. FSG pumps out new ships. They are very efficient at that. Without re-opening the whole "They should have been built here" debate, I think that THIS speaks volumes. There is nothing wrong with specializing and working in a niche market. It is a lot harder to be a jack of all trades. FYI, my two cents worth.

Karl's rare aerial shots of the Nimpkish show that not only is she the shortest car ferry in the fleet, she's also the 'fattest', at only 2 1/2 times longer than her beam. That compares to the Spirits, which measure in at a svelte 5 1/2 times, and even the Capilano/Cumberland, at 4 1/2 times. The widened Kuper is the second porkiest at only three times longer than it's beam.

I also did a solo trip on route 1 on the Queen of Saanich and Spirit of British Columbia and route 1 was also really busy but that is no suprise even on a Monday night. Glad I took the Saanich over and SOBC back as it wouldent be too fun out of TSA on a packed Queen of Saanich. Photos can be found here s97.photobucket.com/albums/l213/karladelman/Route%201%20trip/Wanted to get some last shots of the Coquitlam at Tsawwassen as next week the Alberni will be back! Luckily the Saanich wasent too late arriving as she was late anyways but I still managed to get some photos!

Great photos guys, thanks for those. - 180 New Uploads of Old Pics... www.ferrypicsbygraham.fotopic.net/variousSome of these are repeats but have had to be bumped from the gallery in the past for the sake of more variety; since I've upgraded that's no longer a worry.

More Queen of Saanich photos added to my fotopic site can be viewed here karlsferryphotos.fotopic.net/c1203858.htmlThe NEW ones were taken yesterday from my trip over to Tsawwassen. I am slowly getting more interior shots each time I get on the Saanich. I have more interior shots but they are a bit blurry as I was trying to snap them quickly so I wasent seen! ;D

I like the beefed-up look that comes from the added-wall under the pickle-fork deck. That solid wall at either end changes her look.
