Nice pictures of the North Island Princess.
I'm beginning to think she has one of the cleanest designs of the current ships in the fleet aside from the remaining B and V class. She just seems to resemble so much the shape of the old coastal steamships.

Great Pics of the North Island Princess.
I haven't had the chance to view her up close yet but, Her Stacks are Blue Again! What's next? A very small slugs mating put on the outer sides of the stacks?

First off, thanks for the photos guys. I enjoyed viewing them all. I didn't really know where to put these pics, and I felt that it might be a bit of a waste to start a new thread, so this will have to do. Here is something I was able to capture, while I was sitting in the Langdale waiting room this afternoon, patiently waiting for the Esquimalt to arrive. You can still see the original print of the Cowichans name below the bright while paint. Look closely!

Updates to my mv Quinsam and Queen of Alberni Albums are posted at my site. I went for a ride on the Quinsam yesturday. s104.photobucket.com/albums/m196/shiptracker Ps you will see that the Quinsam actually has 2 vending machines and not shown it has washrooms, contrary to the ships profile at www.bcferries.com

Great shots, Karl, thanks for those. I really didn't know how good of a view you can get of Route 2 from Whytecliff Park.

New photos of the MV Coho taken today in the Inner Harbour. karlsferryphotos.fotopic.net/c1353482.html The photos that say NEW are from today. I stood on Bellville Street and watched them unload and load it was quite interesting to see big rigs loading in Victoria with the tight turn they have to make to get on and off. She managed to squeeze everyone on except a motorhome and truck and camper which had to wait for the last sailing. But seeing the Coho makes me want to take a trip on her again.

I must say the Coho has a nice looking bow! When ever I am in Victoria (not very often) I like to go down and see her.

Yes, I've always considered the Sydney and Tsawassen to truly embody the grace of the old steamships in their design, but with her high, curved, knife edge bow the Coho appears even more so like one of the old steamers.

Some uploads fresh off the camera from this afternoon, after I was done being a Train geek for the Morning, with the Royal Hudson. Queen of Coquitlam at WMG's North Van Shipyard. She's back in the water! Pacificat Explorer, showing more signs of weathering on the exterior. Horn Lovers out there! This one is for you. I've discovered ANOTHER HORN, facing the aft of the vessels, at the mast. Those electric horns (identical to ones on the Spirits) were probably not loud enough at Horseshoe Bay, so that's probably why there's horns in both directions, even though they're single enders. EDIT: OK, maybe after looking closer at it, it's just a speaker for the PA system?

I'd go with PA system on that.
