Heh, now my memory of the SOVIs interior is coming back to me. The Neon lights on the ceiling reminds me of a Mcdonalds in Nanaimo just up the hill from the old Harbour Park Mall in Nanaimo.....HMCS Nanaimo and Scott might know what one I'm talking about... I guess the neon lights on the ceiling started the trend for the Fastcats to be set up as a disco hall. I remember when I was like 6, and knowing the SOVI was new, and then smelt the carpet below the front windows in the forward lounge, hoping for a "new smell"........don't ask, I was just cool like that when I was younger.....but ended up getting a nose full of dust.....

Yes, great shots Graham and Karl..! ;D Heh, now my memory of the SOVIs interior is coming back to me. The Neon lights on the ceiling reminds me of a Mcdonalds in Nanaimo just up the hill from the old Harbour Park Mall in Nanaimo.....HMCS Nanaimo and Scott might know what one I'm talking about... Sadly, last time I was in there I noticed they removed the neon lighting... But they still have the massive fish tank, though..!

IN PROGRESS !!!!! I'm trying to figure out how to post my own photo's here.
I have Shaw internet at home.
I've just spent 2 frustrating hours trying to figure out how to put my JPEG photos onto Shaw, so that I can show them to you here.
If anyone can advise me re Shaw for this, please do so. I phoned Tech Support, and they said I would need to create a webpage....and I've found that utterly frustrating.
Anyone that has Shaw.....please give me some advice. No, I don't know anything about webpage design or uploading, and I don't want to.
I just want to be able to post photos on this forum.....directly, so that you can see them right here on the page.
Should I give up, and just open a photo pic account ?
help !

The photo of the Needles ferry (nice background, by the way) reminded me of one thing that's always struck me about the interior ferries- and that's the lack of rust compared to their unfortunate sisters who have to plough through salt water all the time. The first one I ever took was the Omineca Princess, and even though it was about ten years old at the time, it looked almost new.

Awesome shots Graham!! Those would be fire windows you see there, because the zodiak above would be brought down in front of those windows.

It's probably one of those "built in Victoria" signatures. Plus the hull is curved, isn't it? (lengthwise..)
Once again, great photos! Looks like they cleaned up the spots the drydock crews missed! (rushed?)
