I don't know about fire windows...but crooked they are. Isn't the Crooked-nature of windows on BCF-Ships usually attributed to a certain Shipyard, or side of the water (i.e.: island/mainland) from which the ship was made?

It's probably one of those "built in Victoria" signatures. Plus the hull is curved, isn't it? (lengthwise..) Once again, great photos! Looks like they cleaned up the spots the drydock crews missed! (rushed?)

...and what are those black-spots overlooking the bow of the ship on the same level as the ' so-called' Forward Observation Lounge...?

Well done, Karl. - - - - - - - - - - - - - I find that the capablilities, possibilities, etc., of photography help make it as accessible to us as it is; and it's an especially useful tool for us ferry-nauts - - - - - - - - - - - - - Cheers, Graham P.S. Karl, ----This: community.webshots.com/photo/549358950/2995673840073795431LXKobf----------has to be my favorite pic... or atleast the one that first stood-out.

By the way, I've been playing around with the settings on my fotopic site, and have made a key improvement: -Now, when you click the pic, you will get the same as when you choose ' Full Size View' on webshots, a version of the highest quality that will automatically fit to your screen You haven't really seen the pics until you see them at this quality. ( gallery137119.fotopic.net/ ) Cheers, Graham P.S. Here's an idea that you just might like enough to make a habit: Try pressing F11 whenever you want to maximize your screen size (while in Window's Explorer, atleast). This option is ideal for looking at pictures online that automatically resize to fit your screen optimally.

Hey Everyone I'm Back from Nanaimo it was really fun! I got around 100-200 new photos they'll be up on my site tommorrow the ships are the Tsawwassen, Quinsam, Cowichan, and Bowen the Quinsam looks pretty nice with the new colours we could see her and the Lynx from our Hotel Room but sadly I didn't get photos of the Lynx. So it was overall very fun.

Alright, I think I've got all of my photos uploaded to my site now! In order we have: The Queen of Esquimalt: (You'll sort of get the idea of the lineup I was in after about 3 hours of waiting in one of the pics) along with pics of it beside the Bowen Queen at Departure Bay: photosbychris2006.fotopic.net/c846425.htmlThe Queen of Oak Bay leaving 40 minutes late I believe with Pamela Anderson on board (Apparently) which I missed by about 10 cars, along with todays trip (Start looking from around the halfway point): photosbychris2006.fotopic.net/c846409.htmlThe Quinsam in Downtown Nanaimo, just hours after PR Ferries Teen was there: photosbychris2006.fotopic.net/c927879.htmlThe Kahloke at Chemainus: photosbychris2006.fotopic.net/c927880.htmlThe Howe Sound Queen at Crofton (Note: I was going to take more pictures, but the last picture that's on the page, was the last picture I was able to take, as my cameras batteries went dead, so when I went to change them, one of them fell out of my camera, bounced off of the dock I was on, and into the drink, so I left immediatly quite annoyed with the replacement cost...): photosbychris2006.fotopic.net/c927883.htmlAlso, a few more pics of the Langdale berth waiting area at Horseshoe Bay (That I had to myself for an hour), and a few pics of the Chemainus Terminal, and Crofton Terminal: photosbychris2006.fotopic.net/c869768.htmlEnjoy!!!

Great shots, Chris! A refreshing variety, too. As I mentioned through MSN, those shots of Chemainus bring back fond memories of mooring my family's sail-boat at Kuper Island, walking to the terminal, and taking the ferry in quite the opposite direction than I normally would. This was pre-93 or so, so I was just a little guy, and whatever ferry was on the route at the time seemed much larger than any K-Class seem to me today, lol. I also enjoyed seeing a different perspective of the terminal at Crofton than I've seen before. Cheers.

More updates: Seaspan Challenger, pushing the barge Coastal Spirit, arives and is unloaded/loaded at Seaspan's Swartz Bay facility at around 3am on the morning of October 10 or last year. This was before I started working with a tri-pod, so some of the angles are off; also, a few are digital-manipulations
