a "new" photo...first a question? Vessel, and location...1966. Now, that's an incredible picture! This was photographed aboard the PRINCESS PATRICIA sometime in the 1960s. It would be either 1971 or a year later or so when the great beautiful buff and black stacks would get the horrible red paint. The red paint was finally covered over and the stacks restored to their original glory in 1986 when an enterprise used her and the PRINCE GEORGE as floating hotels at New Westminster. While attending EXPO 86 in Vancouver, I spent two nights aboard the PATRICIA and ate breakfast aboard the GEORGE. Interesting to note: We see gang planks on the Bridge Deck. That "new" davit probably was used to raise and lower the plank in place.

That is an amazing picture. It really looks like it was taken yesterday. I've never seen a color photo from the 60s with such high image quality. Any more gems like this?

Looks like it's a ghost-V. Are you sure you didn't catch a pic of the Queen of Richmond, Karl?

Beautiful photos! QNW looks sharp - can't wait to take a trip on her, which will be exactly one week from now.

Nice shot's of the Queen of Newest. Actually, of the 3 B's, the Burnaby is the newest, as she was built in 1965. Nanaimo and New Westminster are tied for "Queen of the Oldest"; both launched in 1964, but I'm not sure which was first. Hey Keiran, thanks for launching this tangent. ;D

great shots of the chilli in powel river, I take it the wack's sailing time to comox must be around 1 hour 30 minutes because of her slower speed, what is her top speed, anyone?
