Do both of the ships have to be from one or more of the 3 lines, or can one ship be from BC Ferries, and the other be from, say, Highways? And a quick disambiguation of 'BC Ferries': Does the Nicola count?

And just for clarification, how about Seaspan ferries?

And a quick disambiguation of 'BC Ferries': Does the Nicola count? If you have shots of two or more vessels that are from the same company, or if you have some that mix some of those companies listed (ie: BCF and AMHS), those are all acceptable. The Nicola is owned by BC Ferries, so it counts. And just for clarification, how about Seaspan ferries? Yes, I'll accept Seaspan.

A couple of questions...
Does the Steilacoom II qualify if the picture was taken while she was being leased by WSF?
Do pictures of ferries in a shipyard count?

Do ferries berthed at docks count, or are you really looking for ferries out on the water?

Does the Steilacoom II qualify if the picture was taken while she was being leased by WSF? While leased by WSF, yes. Do pictures of ferries in a shipyard count? Do ferries berthed at docks count, or are you really looking for ferries out on the water? While I would prefer to see vessels on the open water, both are acceptable.

I'll attempt to get one! Question: are the pierce county ferries, while on Anderson/Ketron, acceptable?

Question: are the pierce county ferries, while on Anderson/Ketron, acceptable? Not in this ballot, unfortunately.

Question: are the pierce county ferries, while on Anderson/Ketron, acceptable? Not in this ballot, unfortunately. Meh, it's fine. I may be getting on F/V/S this weekend. I bet I can get a good submission. Question, do I need to PM anyone for submissions, and if so, who?

Question, do I need to PM anyone for submissions, and if so, who? As long as your submission meets the criteria, there should be no need to PM anyone. You will be required to crop your original photo in order to conform to the dimensions used on this forum. This can be done using programs such as MS Paint, Adobe Photoshop, etc. Information (including acceptable dimensions) for our Forum Flagship can be found here.

Question, do I need to PM anyone for submissions, and if so, who? My advice: - look at how other people do their nominations in this thread, and then go thou and do likewise. Pay attention to the detail, double check the results, and you should be fine.

Are you sure that's the Cumberland? I've never heard of her filling in for the Capilano...

:)to my knowledge Cumberland has never done Howe Sound, and in any event was a powerful union town, that may not work on such a hi-end waterway! as for the apostrophy, I think I will have an ephipiny on that one! I better stay away from Romney not being concerned about the poor! as I have said this is shipwatching, not mudrakeing! :)mrdot.

Good eye! I'll have to fix that. That was the second picture I edited and it saved the first text in the text box and I never changed the name of the first ferry.

For two days in July 1995 (25/25) the Cumberland operated between Horseshoe Bay and Bowen Island. The Queen of Tsawwassen filled in for the Cumberland. That is the same week BC Ferries started their website, maybe it was the first service notice!

Here is my submission. Hi wsfan, We appear to be missing the 1200 pixel (full-size) submission. Everything is correct so far for display on this thread, but we require a link to the larger version for display on our header if selected during voting. Please view other entries on this page to see how to format your submission. Thanks!
