Rode the CC for the first time last week. Pretty much the same as the other Coastals. I was unimpressed by the use of only one chime on the whistle while departing Swartz Bay and passing Active Pass. Also, how do you get onto the bridge of the coastal class boats. I've been unsuccessful on the CC CI and CR. I tried my usually story about going to BCIT nautical sciences and wanting to work for BC Ferries but it didn't work.

Arrival at Swartz Bay, after voyage from Germany: Me and Nick were on the 9am SOBC as we left Swartz Bay we went out via the inbound route the Spirits take so we could get a glimps of the CC. A few photos from today Coastal Celebration media event area Coastal Celebration from the SOBC ------------------------ Here's a few shots that I took this morning. Apparently, we would have been better off to have stayed at Swartz Bay, as she did a few little maneuvers in the bay and blew her horn a few times. Oh well, we got a few good shots of her anyway. Sorry about the crooked shots. Apparently I couldn't figure out how to hold a camera straight this morning. ------------------------ at Tsawwassen: ------------------- I got some aeriel shots of her leaving Nanaimo! Coastal Celebration and Queen of Alberni passing off Gabriola -------------------

Photos taken yesterday from Galiano Island... There was a loud "wow !" sound from my computer-den, when I saw this picture, and the others from up on the bluffs. Awesome clarity and composition. Thanks for spending your day doing this artwork.

that shot down from gallano bluff is a good one but when are they going to shed the olympic shrink wrap from the german gordboats? they put me to mind of a billboard that was plastered all over the world's first mega ship, the Great Eastern of the 1800's. mrdot.

Some photos from the C.Cel on Friday, November 5th, 2010. Her wheelhouse, as pictured from outside. This is more common, but I'll post it anyway. Down the deck Two security guards on patrol, keeping what needs to be safe safe. A water-soaked deckbox. Sunset over Galiano Island.

Coastal Celebration heading to Swartz Bay, on Dec.14, 2010. - photo taken from Malahat highway lookout. - I presume that she's between Portland Island and Moresby Island. (or maybe between Moresby & Stuart?)

This photo isn't spectacular, but it shows both the SoVI and the Coastal Celebration at Swartz Bay after the SoVI's cancelled 3pm sailing to Tsawwassen on December 29th: the SoVI's funnel is visible above the terminal structures

Nice! I've just set a reminder.
Edit: I just watched the segment, but a software malfunction prevented me from recording it. Luckily, this episode will be repeated tomorrow, so I will have another chance to successfully record it.
