I really like how you captured the leading lines of the vessel (wake) and turned it into a great photo with a good background.

Thanks for sharing this photo with us. But I think you and your family deserved a pastel-blue, un-lifted Queen of Victoria yesterday. Was at Barnacle Road waiting for this ferry that was bringing my son Ben to Victoria. On Friday we said goodbye to our brother Brian; today we say goodbye to our Mom. The whole family will be together, minus those who have already passed to the other side. It is a very stormy day today in Victoria.

It was bound to happen eventually but after almost 10 years the Coastal Celebration is missing a chunk of her wrap; about ten percent of the Island/beach view wrap is gone and replaced with white paint. At first I thought it was a strong reflection!

I look forward to the day when the wraps are gone, and the vessels assume the crisp and clean traditional blue and white appearance.

I look forward to the day when the wraps are gone, and the vessels assume the crisp and clean traditional blue and white appearance. Amen! Is there a known timeline for this or is it wishful thinking? With Sea Wolf and the Salish Class getting wraps I was under the assumption that wraps were the new norm for BC Ferries and that the Coastals would keep theirs forever.

I think, but cannot verify, that one of the CCel's wraps is either new, or significantly repaired very recently. I keep smiling on her this week rather than passing so I haven't been able to confirm. A portion of wrap was missing two weeks ago but not now, I don't think.
This makes me anecdotally believe the wraps are 'permanent'.
