Thanks for that, It is not the first time BC Ferries done this. I believe that Coastal Renaissance is the main vessel out Departure Bay on Friday through Sunday during the shoulder season, all week during peak season and refit replacement during the off peak season. Update: She is only in operation on Fridays and Sundays. |

She has a bit of a rude habit of always sounding her whistle as she heads out of Departure Bay. |

That was a quick stay in drydock! The Coastal Renaissance returned to Departure Bay late this morning.

The Coastal Renaissance was out for sea trials this afternoon. Looks like she takes over on the Duke Point run, replacing the Coastal Inspiration, from Sunday November 8 through Tuesday January 5.

The Coastal Renaissance has not been in dry dock this weekend, she is at Departure Bay at the maintenance berth. The CR does not return to service until May 25. The Coastal Celebration takes over on the Duke Point run starting Monday May 10.

The Coastal Renaissance left Departure Bay about 1 am. When she is at the maintenance berth her engines shake my house so she woke me up. I see she's in drydock in North Van now.

The Coastal Renaissance is out toodling around the Strait today, visible from Departure Bay. I assume they're doing sea trials after the repairs.

I Have been on the Coastal Renaissance ferry and like the design on the Deck 6 which it's had Coastal Cafe, Passage Gift Shop, Video Game Zone, Kids Zone are Open.
Sitka Coffee Place and Seawest Lounge is always closed.
Deck 6 Washroom is great and very clean, which it's had more fixture on Deck 5 washroom.
Deck 5 had the Mini Lounge are Open for the passenger and we had Coast Cafe Express and another Kids Zone and TV Lounge but the Deck 5 is always Closed.
