Care to try again? Your sentence doesn't make any sense. I guess many here don't know much about internet slang. I was pretty much mentioning the common issues that I have noticed on the Queen of Cowichan which I was trying to put it in a more "joking" way. On a more serious note tho, This really is not ideal at all for those with disabilities and who need the elevator. What the article also fails to mention is that people who are on the Deck 2 and 3 are going to be even more screwed over by this as they will have to leave the car deck. This isn't even the first time this happened on the Cowichan either. I remember back in summer 2015 going back to Vancouver on the ferry and all the elevators were broken and according to someone at the chief stewards office, a few days earlier there was a bus that had a bunch of seniors onboard and would require the elevator, but since none were working, the crew had to help them all up which apperently took MORE THAN HALF OF THE SAILING to do. Also, I have found that the Cowichan (along with the Coquitlam) have really been neglected by BC Ferries over the past 5-7 years. Both are looking pretty run down compared to the rest of the major fleet, and when I was last on the Cowichan, at the end of the sailing I smelled what smelled like rotten eggs on the car deck which was probably coming from the engine room. I honestly can't imagine the condition of the engines on the vessel at this point. Of course along with all 3 Coastals having some major issues and what looks like to be at least another 7-10 years before we get new vessels, this will probably be something we will see more often for a while. The Cowichan has different elevators on both ends, it seems unlikely for both of them to break at the same time. The Alberni sometimes disables all the elevators when it is listing too much, maybe it's a similar problem on the Cowichan?

Should have kept the escalators. Those would have caused nothing but more issues. Some very bad injuries happened on them too

I believe it's standard procedure to use the spotlight for night dockings, to check the berth for any logs or other objects that may have floated in.

Arriving Horseshoe Bay on Monday afternoon. Beautiful pic. The Cowichan was my first C class experience in 1976 at the age of 7. It seemed so huge, and I thought the escalators were neat. And those orange naugahyde chairs! We're booked on the 3:20 sailing from Departure Bay on May 3rd aboard the old gal.
