My 7x sped-up video compilation of Queen of Oak Bay, at Departure Bay's berth-2. - Saturday February 23, 2013, noon-hour.
This was part of a 5-hour video-shooting visit that I did on Saturday at this beach location. A very fun time for me.

Beautiful shots, Scott. I don't care what anyone says, I still appreciate the looks of the Oak Bay and has it has been a favourite of mine since I was really young. It's a shame her exterior was botched in 2005 though, during the mid life refit.

Sorry, but the Oak Bay and Surrey are quite ugly, especially since the upgrade, IMHO.

Nice pics, Scott, of a stranger in Tsawwassen.
Do we know why she is out of service, and why they brought her there?

Nice pics, Scott, of a stranger in Tsawwassen. Do we know why she is out of service, and why they brought her there? Thanks, Jim! I'm not positive on what specifically sent her to Deas, but after arriving on Monday, she departed this morning at 0100 to resume Route 2 service today. These rare ship movements are lots of fun. As far as I'm aware, there's nothing at Deas, so I'm thankful we got to see her outside of her usual stomping grounds.
