Quinsam making her way from Gabriola Island to Nanaimo, at 7:45am on Oct.15, 2010. - photos from the MV Coastal Inspiration. ------------------ - I love this morning light, and the background scenery is pretty awesome (especially at this time of day) With Snake Island in the background: - sail boat in the sun, but no direct sunlight for Quinsam yet. - I like the shroud of cloud over Mt. Benson.

Is the Quinsam taking 1 min longer to do her run??? The schedules and Travel Centre say the crossing time is 21 mins instead of 20 mins! Seems kinda funny, lol!

A shot focused on the lovely MV Quinsam, the proudest ship in Nanaimo's harbour. - but she had to wait for approx 10 minutes for the approaching MV Celebrity Century to clear the lane.

Coming into Duke Point Thursday, I was surprised to look up from my paper and see the Quinsam, very close on the port side. This view is from a fair ways toward the stern of the 'Inspiration. I'm not suggesting it was a near miss or anything, but it did seem that the two vessels had crossed paths a good deal closer than what I thought was the operational norm.
