Some views of the gallery deck area on the Island Sky. - from Sunday November 3, 2013, on the Comox route. This set of stairs is the way that passengers get from their vehicles on the gallery deck, up to the passenger lounge deck. Trying to capture the steepness of the gallery deck fixed ramp This shows the lane loading strategy: - the inside lanes get utilized, and then the lanes near-to and under the gallery-deck get used only when needed. Under the gallery deck. - note the sunset colours at the end of the tunnel.

A few more views of Island Sky on Sunday November 3, 2013. As she is making her way westward to Comox. - seen from the beach near Little River terminal. Lovely dusk sky on her 5:00pm sailing. She's leaving Comox on her 7:15pm sailing - in darkness at this time of year

The Island Sky on the Morning of November 24th, 2013. All Photos are © CS16 Photography and may only be used with Permission from the Owner. At Westview. Island Sky Docked at Westview. by CS16 Photography, on Flickr As a whole the Island SKy really isn't a looker, however from aboard she does have many... 'artistic' angles. Deck 5, Sun Deck, Island Sky. by CS16 Photography, on Flickr And it certainly was a Beautiful Sunrise that morning. Hmmm, perhaps I should consider investing in a polarizing filter. Hmmm, perhaps I should consider investing in a polarizing filter. If you do, I'd highly recommend the Hoya UV/CPL ones. See here. I have one for my 18-135 (67mm thread) and it works great. Not only does it darken the sky in situations like that, it also guts most, if not all, glare from windows or better yet, sun reflections on the water. It also has the added UV protection to reduce that blue tint when you shoot backlit.

I love this. What an awesome photo with the bridge placed over the background mountains, the evening lighting, and the excellent photo angle of the ship. Wow, just beautiful.

Halfway through the crossing we had an interesting occurrence, we stopped and a memorial was held. I'm not sure what it was for but my guess is a crew member had passed away. Here's a shot of where we were stopped right as the engines fired up again. Car Deck, No. 1 End, Island Sky. by CS16 Photography, on Flickr Finally, a shot of the Bridge to end it off. Island Sky on her first sailing of Route 17B - 5:00am on January 12, 2014. The load on sailing #1 - typical of the first sailing of the day, on regular Route 17. - it's not a Route 17 sailing unless there's a NorthWest Tankers truck on board. The roller shade style of window black-out screens - how typical or unique is this type of screen, in the BCF fleet?

I think the Cumberland and Capilano have the roller style black out screens. I think the Spirit ships do too if I am correct??

Lovely. This would look great if it could be cropped as a signature-pic or a banner. Great timing for this shot.
