One small correction... Vessels that are 20 to 99.99 meters in length would be equiped with a whistle and a bell. A vessel 12 to 19.99 meters in length is required to only hold a bell whistle, and anything under 12 meters must simply have some sort of sound signalling device

Have you ever considered enrolling in the BCIT Nautical Sciences program?

That was a typo on my part.

Skeena Queen in Esquimalt dry dock next to the Spirit of Vancouver Island, Jan 12th 2017. Entering the graving dock, looking at the SOVI. One big barnacle! In the graving dock looking back at Esquimalt Harbour. Note the Naval vessels to port. Finally back to "4 wheel drive" again!

Awesome picture of the ship entering the Drydock with the Spirit! Hey, just wondering if anyone has any picts of the interior of the crew area below the wheelhouse? I have always wanted to see that part of the ship.

We don't have enough photos of the 2:00am view at Fulford Harbour, so here is an example: I'm across the street from the stone church, and here's Skeena Queen with her friend Bowen Queen. July 3, 2017 DSC01072 by Mike Bonkowski, on Flickr

Skeena Queen arriving at Swartz Bay's berth #3, on September 11, 2017. - taken from Queen of Cumberland in berth #4. I like this angle, even though it distorts the fore and aft proportions of the ship. (I think that's why I like it). . by Mike Bonkowski, on Flickr

Skeena Queen cautiously departs Berth 3 at Swartz Bay, as she peaks around the corner looking for small banditos that might decide to make a run across her bow. Skeena Queen by Deck-dog SSI, on Flickr

The SQ is the worst offender in the fleet. It needs to go 'on the patch'.

Skeena Queen heading in the opposite directions of Swartz Bay. I am posting theses photos because I don't have much photos of her not or leaving terminal: Skeena Queen by Blue Bus Fan, on Flickr Skeena Queen by Blue Bus Fan, on Flickr I hope BC Ferries will take the time to change her engines and make her hybrid to help her reduce the heavy black smoke when she is docking. By the way, was is the Skeena Queen the only vessel to have heavy black smoke coming out funnel during the docking process?

When Skeena Queen scheduled mid-life? I am asking because she is should have in coming years. What will BC Ferries do during it add snack bar, maybe convert her to hybrid diesel-electric?

The time has come for the Skeena Queen's Mid-Life Upgrade! The MLU will start October 28 and finish in March 2020. A few vessel shuffles will take place: The Queen of Cumberland will take the Skeena's place on Route 4, and the Cumberland's Route 5 spot will be filled by the Salish Raven. During the holiday season (December 20-January 1) the Bowen Queen will fill in on Route 4 on a modified schedule to make up for lost capacity, and the Cumberland and Raven will return to their spots on Routes 5 and 9a.

I wonder why BC Ferries is doing this mid-life themselves?
