Unless I'm losing it entirely, it was a new thread started by Retro yesterday, that seems to have disappeared.

It must be a cross continental corporate loss of the mind then because I certainly played it.

"Dude, where's my video?" "Where's your video dude?" "Dude, where's my video?" "Where's your video dude?" "Dude, where's my video?" "Where's your video dude?" "Did I drive here last night?" "Yeah, I think so." "Did we?" "I'm not sure." "Dude, where's your video?" "Dude, it's not funny, dude, the video is gone." "Yeah." "Dude, where's my video?" "Shut up dude!" "OK. Look. You're right. I know we need to do. We need to get back into state of mind that we were last night." "That way we can retrace our steps." "Yeah." "Sense memory simulated perception altered consciences memory retrieval... ... ...Discovery Channel." "Nice."

It just clicked with me that the Vacationland had the same goofy basket-mast/one-antenna-for-both-radars set-up... The Kahloke/Langdale Queen used the same style radar antenna, as well, though I think without the baskets on the mast. I believe it may have been upgraded and changed to a smaller size antenna later in her life. Those kind of radar antennas were common in the 1940s and 1950s... the smaller ones were in place by the 1960s. The oddity, however, is that the SCQ/Vacationland and Evergreen State were/are double-ended vessels, whereas the Kahloke/Langdale Queen was a single-ender. The mast was kind of a bonus; the unusual set-up was two radars sharing one antenna.

A photo that always caught my eye from the Dogwood Fleet Book.... A comfortable and airy lounge aboard a modern coastal ferry.Even today, it was just a comfortable. (Photo taken at same location)

Now, Ron Weasley will have fewer slugs to vomit today. ;D Thanks for that, I assume everyone enjoys that quality contribution. On another note, I appreciate the update (in a non-sarcastic way this time). Did they actually do a good job of painting it over, or did they do a crumby job like on the Esquimalt?

"crumby" That's a "food"-ish kind of word. ;D If they used bread crumbs for the paint, I guess that this will wash off and the slugs will make their comeback in the next rain.

Sad to hear that the old QPR has finally been 'de-slugged', guess that really signals the end of the line, but never liked the slugs, bring back the Dogwood Crest! I have some interior pictures of the QPR that I will hopefully get around to posting soon if I can free up some time. And..to 7Sisters: I have at least a dozen sheets of original Queen of Prince Rupert Letterhead that I acquired during my tenure from '67-71 Beige paper with the QPR in light green written font..looks great.

Thanks for those pictures, Scott. It looks like they're doing a better job in the "de-slugging". And, no bread crumbs are being used (no "crumby" paint job this time).
I think her stacks look better without the slugs.
For Scott, it was great meeting you in person aboard the NORTHERN EXPEDITION on her Open Ship in Port Hardy. Our fellowship that day was priceless!

I agree it looks better. Out of all of the vessles, I always thought that the QPR looked the worst in the slug scheme. Especially with her larger slugs on the port side of the funnel and the streched slugs on the starboard side. It was great meeting you too, FNS..! ;D

But you guys have to admit... it looked even better sporting dual dogwood flags on either stack.
