Im going to Powell River in a few weeks on a SailPass. I'm stoked, I'm just sure it's a party town. I've been on summer vacation for 8 hours and I'm already bored.

This new member is also the youngest member on this board. Did you the nice greeting that I gave to her? PR Queen Kid said it was the best greeting ever given on this board.

Hello Harry & Kimberley - and welcome to the forum. So you lived in Fakenham - I do know it very well - as I also have a friend who lives there. A little more than 80 miles takes me about 2 hours to drive there - would say about 120-135 miles. Did you ever go to Cromer and have some of there world famous crab? So your parents must have worked for the Queen then (For you other people - the Queens main estate is located there) I see that your born in the "Garden City" of England. For all you other people - this Town was laid out like a very large garden - and the english are well known for there love of gardens. Strong Skier - I didn't know the British were good skiers - but the "lumberjack song" is the Song of BC..... The Cat picture you showed - that was the Southampton to Isle of Wright - which is owned and run by the Isle of Mann Steam ship company - which funny enought is owned by the Greeks. Small world. I have actualy been on that vessel - as www.speedferries.com was looking to hire that in for there new service - but went for another Cat vessel - which had been parked up in Southampton for about 18 months. We helped with the finance - funding of the Speed Ferries buisness - or the Bank I do work for did the funding.

WSF was considering buying the Sechelt Queen for use on the international route (Anacortes-Sidney), but never did (she was tied up near the WSF maintenance facility for awhile).

So Kimberley & Harry - we need to work together and start driving Strong Skier insane - as he thinks we are all mad - us British - well you two really - as I was born in Sidney BC - so many years ago - I ran out of fingers and toes to count on......
What was that expression - "no one's normal - everyone is ab-normal" - all except Strong skier...... just kidding........
He just does not understand us snowboarders.....skiing is so just ........

in fact we don't have any ski slopes in england, maybe one in scotland or wales, the skiers maybe go to france or switzerland. A model of the Saltspring Queen (Not made by me obviously)

Never heard of any of them, no mountains in england even!
And by the way, not all brits are good at skiing, every one is different, nothing is the same because of genetic diversity.
