What happened with "I am going to buy the Mill Bay" or "Mill Bay should be stretched" or "Mill Bay should be kept a little longer?"

I believe she should be used as a relief vessel for when the malahat is closed, then leave her out of service to save money in the summer, or at least have a few more runs, until 8pm.

Yeah I was on the Elwha last month too! I like the Elwha and the design! She has a neat passenger deck with those tables and benched seating. You can tell why they can carry so many passengers those WSF with all the seating they have and lots of room! Not cluttered with all those amenities like BC Ferries. A neat little galley up top too! So how come there is no food service anymore on the Saun Juan routes??

it was in the contract that food service would be for summer use only not winter

ah I see. You think though on the International Run they could have it up and running. I guess are you still allowed up there in galley area to sit if you wanted??

The Salt Spring Queen is still around. Currently she has the Name "Golden Queen" one of the West Coast Mariner magazines had small article about her not too long ago.
The wheelhouse has been removed and apparently the owners are using her as a machinery shop, I will do a litter search on the net to try get a pict of her.
