yeah. the movie was well made. at our school we watch a movie made by the students. the District gave them a budget of 4000$ to film it, and they came through with a nice movie.

I like bike riding a lot, I ALWAYS wear a helmet.
I actually used the M.V Quinsam ferry to Gabriola on a bike trip with Bayview school in Nanaimo, I don't care too much about the view, I prefer the look, the speed, and the uniqueness of the ferry.
Thanks BC Ferries for my wonderful trip to Gabriola on my favourite vessel!
p.s if you are only 10-11, go to Bayview Elementary if you want to go on this bike trip, they hold it on october.
(just eaten a leaf of lettuce)!

Yeah. I miss hockey. I remember a year ago watching Game 6 of the Canucks vs Flamers in a cabin in Ucleulet, with my dad, my step-mom, and her parents and my step-mom's family is from Calgary, so they were rooting for the Flames and my dad and I were rooting for vancouver. I was the only one who stayed up to watch the entire game right until Brendan Morrison scored in the 3rd OT. I made so much noise after that goal. Still the canucks shouldn't have given up a 4-0 lead like that in the first place and coach Crow should've played Johan Hedberg, but there was also Sopel's stupid turnover that resulted in a shorthanded goal plus many more throughput the season. GRAAAAA! Sopel is a crappy defenseman, he should be a goalie, judging by the way he sometimes acts like one.
I needed to rant.

Oh remember Game 7 of that series in the last minute of the third Canucks down by one than they score me and my friend and his parents thought it was over than we score I forget was it Matt Cooke and Jovonoski jumping up and down in the penalty box I was acting like they had won the Stanley Cup sadly that's when I had to go home than the Flames score the season was done for Things might of been different if they still had Bertuzzi. Oh the memories

Harry - you have the title of the vessels the wrong way around.
1. SS Cascade - this vessel started out as a "Steam Ship" - hence the SS - she worked on the coast as a "Tramp" ship. It was then converted across to desiel in 1922 - and her title changed to MV - "Motor Vessel" - in 1924 she was changed again to - take cars and had bigger desiel engines installed. In 1932 she was refitted agin - with a central Bridge / wheel house - the cars / vans could go either side of her - to balance her out.
2. When the the company was sold in 1948 to Coastal Ferries - they changed her name from Cascade to MV Brentwood.
3. In 1956 a new vessel was brought on line and was called MV Mill Bay. the current - present vessel.
I therefore trust that has cleared up the SS and MV ttile names.
The "Old" Cascade run aground in 1978 - 1979 - and was towed to the shipyard in Vancouver - where she was scrapped. She run aground on a section of the Sunshine coast - moving equipment for a logging company.
The "old" cascade - was used up until the early 80's as a silhouette on a "blue lined" book - which 1st Graders had in school around the Saanich area. That printer has gone out of buisness and the concept has also died with it.
