She's looking very nice. Her interior looks much like the the coq and cow, but it does look better. I like the stool table area right next to the windows. Very Nice!

Yes she does look awesome like the Cowichan and Coquitlam, I also like those little stool tables, there pretty neat. SOBC has 4 TV monitors but the same thing is always on. Daily Planet they had on all day cause it was on in the morning when I went over and it was on coming back. Also a TV monitor by the childrens play area with cartoons and another monitor in the lounge behind the main lounge up stairs and also one in the Seawest lounge. Lounge wasent too busy coming back tonight, not alot of people in there. Never made it into the lounge though. I did notice some grafiti already on some of the railings outside. People just have to go and do this stuff, it annoys me. But yeah two awesome trips on the SOBC. I want to do the SOVI next and get some photos of her so we can compare the interiors between the two. I actually want to do all ships on route 1 inlcuding Saanich and Vancouver.

I am on a dedicates server I own so plenty os space. but I do want the raw photos right off the camera, then I will also store them for future use on the site (like full size download etc). Great photos, some dark ones, but easily fixable.

I think the Saanich has a very nice interior. It's much like the Cowichan after her 1996 refit. The Saanich is still in Fairly good shape, but I don't like her Cafeteria, because a line-up blocks the view, unlike the Vancouver where you can grab a window seat and enjoy you White Spot Triple O burger. I wouldn't know what the Vancouver is looking like, I haven't been on her since 1997 when I was 10 years old. I figure she's quite rusty, much like the Esquimalt.

He owns his server, and yes/no, $2/GB right now. I have photoshop and Elements doesn't give me the control I need.

Dedicated servers are not expensive. i own my own dedicated server with 200Gb's of storage space, and 20GB's of alloted transfer each month(as much as my Provider will allow)

Then I can host loads of BC Ferry Photos

One difference I noticed between the Cowichan and Coquitlam compared to the SOBC is that the lighting is different. They never replaced the ceiling lights on the SOBC as they did to the Cowichan and Coquitlam as theirs are a bit different. The SOBC's are the same as before. Probably no need to replace them. That is one difference I just noticed.

Server is up for the job and I only host on Macs. I also run multiple servers to keep things running smoothly and have plans in place to expand as load increases. With my current setup, the site can handle 100K hits/day with no problem.

LMAO:)
- she looks just like the Cowichan/Coquitlam! I liked her much better before. One thing I've noticed on this "new design" for the interiors. While it may look "new" it also looks cheap. Obviously their intention is to save $ - but at the cost of stripping all the major ships of their identity. So let's see now...that brings the count to (3) ships that have the same interior & in a couple of months, you'll be able to add the Oak Bay to that list.

I can go both ways. I like some of the older ships with the older interior but I also like the new interiors. Times are changing and it makes sense to update the ships. But still I do like the older interior for example they shouldent make the Naniamo like the C class and the SOBC. They should just update her a bit like the Saanich.

Agreed. But it would be interesting to see an old vessel, perhaps the New West, be refitted to look like the C class and the SOBC. As much as I like the new look, it would still be nice to see a variation in onboard amentities. Perhaps when they re-do the SOVI next year, they should put the Sea West Lounge elsewhere on the ship ot leave it out completely. I like the Starbucks at the back of the SOVI.
Hey Karl, is that back deck on deck 6 only for those who have paid to go into Sea West or is it still open to anyone?
