I saw stores being loaded onto Coastal Celebration at Swartz Bay's berth 2 - October 15, 2010 Man, that's a smooth process. Nice capture.

This rather worried me. Maybe it's why she was pulled out of service? Taken yesterday. Disembarking at SWB. Single tone horns were used. I felt rather embarrassed for her, knowing she could have blasted such a beautiful tone instead.

At around 5:35pm tonight if the Coastal Rennie isent out doing anything there should be three Coastals at Tsawwassen. Celebration berth 5 Rennie berth 4 and Inspiration berth 3. Be a good photo op if anyone is on a ferry into Tsawwassen except it will be dark.

Passing Coastal class ferries in Active Pass - 9 December 2012. Coastal Renaissance is the nearer vessel, & is heading for Tsawwassen. C. Celebration, in the distance, is headed for Swartz Bay. This is the best I could do on account of the poor visibility on that day. photo © WCK-JST by Wett Coast, on Flickr[/size]

I was on the Coastal Celebration's 4pm sailing from Swartz Bay. They sounded the horn leaving Swartz Bay and it wasent the single tone one. It was the better one sorry dont know much about horn names, lol! But in active pass they used the single tone one again which dident make sense. Swartz Bay crews are wierd. lol! The sun deck was closed too due to the crazy weather. Although it wasent all that windy I mean come on. lol!

Kudos to them! It's likely that when the afternoon crew came aboard for the 1600 sailing, they didn't check what the whistles were selected as and sounded what was already selected, which was the three-tone. How unfortunate that someone had to change it over to that awful sounding single-tone again. Come on Swartz Bay crews... The single-tone sounds horrible and is an embarrassment to the legacy of Nanaimo's Robert Swanson, the founder of Airchime.

Early candidate for 2013 forum photo of the year. Wow ! Wow, thank you! Such a positive response, both here and on Flickr, in such a short period of time - I am flattered!

Here's a really great timelapse compilation proabably made by a crew member from the Coastal Celebration. They even captured a sailing where they went the eastern route around Enterprise route where they came out of Active Pass and headed for Village Bay and then between the can buoy near Crane Point, Mayne Island that the Gulf Island Ferries take

Are the coastals top-heavy when compared with other BCF boats? Seeing all those deck levels I would guess so but I'm not sure.
