I don't know, 'Starsteward'... the video of the ' Nanaimo kind of made it look like it's being held together by 57 years of paint... I hope the old tub makes it to Alang.

What other routes has Queen of Oak Bay served through out her life, I know she has served routes 1,2 and 3. What home ports has she had?

Queen of Oak Bay is at Langdale. Having a refit done at berth 2 there, I assume?

Queen of Oak Bay is at Langdale. Having a refit done at berth 2 there, I assume? I guess because every other vessels in Deas Island is getting moved around right now.

Queen of Oak Bay at Tsawwassen berth 1, today
Is this really Tsawwassen? Kinda strange seeing her Vancouver Island/Langdale end touch a mainland hub terminal. Rather early to prepare for an April Fool's thing WSF has done by rotating the vessels 180 degrees for the day.

Rather early to prepare for an April Fool's thing WSF has done by rotating the vessels 180 degrees for the day. Greetings, good sir. This photo was taken shortly after QUEEN OF OAK BAY completed a refit at the nearby fleet maintenance facility. The ship was at berth-1, away from the main route berths, and so this also makes sense for this being a short stay before she did sea-trials on the next day. (and "Go Kraken !")

Queen of Oak Bay is off to the mainland in this pic from Giovando Lookout, Newcastle Island, near Nanaimo. Newcastle, also known as 'Saysutshun', is a good spot for ferry watching as its possible to see (in summer) seven BC Ferries vessels, as well as one or two of the big Seaspan truck-trailer ferries, and several passenger only ferries. You will need a bit of telephoto 'reach', and clear atmosphere. On my day there the air was just a bit murky. 11 Jul 2023
