I don't know if I was half asleep during the last time I looked through the photos on Washington Marines Vancouver Drydock division, but it looks like they've added a whole new set of pictures, featuring many ships of the BCF fleet. I'll try to list what Ferries I see in each photo.
Photo 1:
Queen of the North , Carrier Princess (?), Queen of Cowichan
Photo 2:
Same day as number 1, just different angle
Photo 3:

Photo 4:

Whoa... those are some of the ugliest ferries I have ever seen! Yeah I know, but I did find something else interesting... if anyone ever wanted to know what the QoTN would've looked like if she was lifted, there's also some neat pics of another Stena ship that was double-decked, and she even had the Stena Danica name at one point. doverferryphotos.co.uk/pastandpresent/monet.htm

Thanks Mr. Bay, for that website re Dover.
I like the slogan that's painted on the side of this ship:

Alright guys! Here's one to bookmark! This is a very neat site to have a good browse through for a while when you're bored. I found it while I was bored and was going random google searches. This website hosts aerial photos of almost all of the Ferry terminals on the BC Coast. There's 4 pages of photo galleries of each terminal. The photos are really good quality (no offence to Karl, who also does a great job at aerial photos). These galleries have lots of good angles, taken from low altitudes. Anyways, enjoy! marinas.com/browse/ferry/CA/BC/

The photos are all well-balanced, bright with vivid colours and you can zoom in on specific sections of the scene to examine details of the terminal. I find it even more interesting that you can go back up through the directories and look at ferry terminals from other countries in the world if you like to make the comparisons between ferry infrastructure here and in other locations. (I was having fun in Norway ;D)

WOW! Someone has done A LOT of work. A few terminals missing in BC, but still, very very impressive photography. Could spend hours there:) Been looking at some from Norway and Scotland - very cool.

Nice guy... in the photo of the unstretched V-class, the underlying photo title is 'wonder if this old tub is still afloat'.

Neat blog of photos. In the old photo, the funnel makes it evident that it's a B-Class he's looking at. Looking closely at the blurred out name, I think I can just barely see "Queen of New Westminster". So yes, Mr. Cain that old tub is still very much afloat, despite several alterations since than, including one more happening at the moment worth $50 million.

BTW, I don't think Swartz Bay has the only floating berth in the BC Ferries system. If you look at this image, you might notice another floating berth.

Floating berths can also be found at BCFS facilities in Port Hardy, Bella Bella, Prince Rupert, and most other north/mid coast ports. The Skidegate berth is not of the floating type.

Nice photo. That would be the Queen of Cowichan sailing to Langdale in the background, while the Queen of New Westminster is sitting in berth 1.

An update on how the Queen of Sidney is looking. She's sitting pretty highout of the water, so I'm assuming she is sitting on the ground, with the low river levels. http:// Chris, that's a neat photo, but it's also kinda sad... looks like I was right about some of the lifeboats missing now. You know what's really interesting is that my new job has me starting in Maply Ridge so I'll be driving past the Sidney pretty much five days a week. I don't know how close I could get from the north side of the river, and the San Mateo is in the way anyway, but I could maybe make a detour to the other side of the river to try and get a few more pictures of her from there.

Well, shots of the deterioration of the San Mateo might be interesting to a few members on this board too... ;D
