"FINISHED WITH ENGINES" That's what a captain would set the ship's telegraph at the end of a voyage and a ferry's operating day. Thank you kindly for your inquiry!

For the fourth time thank you very much. It has been good knowing you. I hope you all get the chance to ride on your new ferries . Hope I get a chance to visit some time. Only BC ferry I ever used was one over Kennabecasis river at Gondola Point to Kingstone Pen back in 2000 I hope it wasn't "William Pit" but it may have been!

And exactly what do you mean by "BC ferry" in that context?

I have absolutely no clue whatsoever. It sounds like the ferry Redwife is talking about is in Ontario. I THINK that's where the Kennabecasis River is.

Actually, it's in New Brunswick.

Dnelson is correct I have been on one of the ferries just can't remember which one. Did one of the old smaller slice and dice ferries get their start in NB? new-brunswick.net/new-brunswick/ferry.htmlKennebec is a common name in the area. It is also the name of the River that flows through Maine and is where Bath Ironworks is, one of the Shipyards responsible for the Arleigh Burke Class of destroyers for the USN.

Sorry I should have said "only Canadian Ferry". I was talking about a cable ferry in New Brunswick. In another part of your forum ,North America and Abroad. Stories from Maritime Canada ,mention was made of an accident to "William Pitt" which had been on that route. Sorry to cause confusion my excuse, it was middle of night here and I had just received my "home safe " phone call .

As promised, I present my YouTube sequential still video of my compilation of captures of the NORTHERN EXPEDITION's arrival with these Vancouver and Nanaimo additions. Enjoy! I have changed my final chart above with an arrival of 1600PST. This is after reviewing my sequential still captures. The NE finally settled into her berth at the time mentioned in the first sentence in this paragraph. Folks, it has been a true pleasure for me to have participated in the delivery tracking of all of these imports. I have learned a lot of world geography. And, to be with folks who have the same interest I have about ferries is priceless! To whom this Forum was founded, many thanks!! Special thanks go to Mr. Markus Brinkmann and his great staff of hard hatters, as well as Mr. Nelson and Mr. Keenleyside for the comradeship. Now, with all imports successfully delivered, I now solemnly (in a way) retire my nightly tracker. It's been really fun doing this and I hope you all enjoyed it. Now, I turn my attention to our exciting new ferry being built for our Keystone run here on Puget Sound. This will be built by TNE, a consortium of three yards. Todd Shipyard will build the steel hull, Nichols Brothers will build the aluminum passenger decks and wheelhouses, and Everett Shipyard will do the steel Main Deck superstructure. Going to be fun to see this put together!

After taking a second look at ferrynutseattle's captures, I have determined that the NE stopped all movement at 15:50 PST.
BTW, did you like all of the insight and detail that my electronic navigational charts provided for these voyages?

Just for records sake...
The timestamps on my photos say that she touched the dock, ready for tie up at 16:00. 16:08 the stern ramp was dropped.

And how accurate were your timestamps? Did you synchronize your camera's clock with a GPS receiver?

There are simply no real adjectives to describe the quality of your charts. An up most salute to a great Chart-Meister! Mr. Keenleyside gets an equal salute for his and the incredible site he has put together as a diary of these imports' voyages and invaluable information and geographical lessons of the sites, waterways, cities, and countries. Hats off to everyone!
