Well, I found myself making a last minute trip to Victoria Friday and decided to swing by the Graving Dock to see what I could see. Turns out, I found a half decent place to spy a look along the railway tracks. Unfortunately, the only camera I has was my cell phone.. However, looks like work is progressing from the outside. The life boats have been removed, and lots of activity on the decks. I could also see welding flashes from inside the forward section behind the big round windows. No sign of any work around the bow that would indicate a doors going in... Very good picture! Looks like they are "squaring-up" the windows around the forward general observatory (formerly the second class forward observation lounge). Starting from the aft port side and working forward. We'll be very pleased to see another progress photo of her from any available source in a week or two. Many thanks for your effort! :-)

Changing Topic
Has anyone contacted BCF RE: a repositoning cruise, or better yet does anyone know if it's happening?
If none of us know I'll call BCF in a few days and ask.

We'll be very pleased to see another progress photo of her from any available source in a week or two. I'm fairly certain she will be coming out of drydock tomorrow (Saturday). She will then be alongside in the wet berth until Feb 28. I don't have any ETA for her removal, and I'll be skiing all day, so I won't be able to get any photos. Maybe Karl might be able to?

Feb 19 is the date I heard also for her move to Dease Dock. I heard it from either Global news or A Channle not sure which. I have it marked on the calendar, so I will be home listinging to my scanner that day. 8-)javascript:add("%20:)")

She did come out of drydock today. I haven't been able to see the stern, as she is pointing the wrong way. The names on the bow and side are "Northern Adventure" with "Victoria" underneath the side name. She is still broadcasting Sonia information on AIS, though, with Bahamian registry. BC Ferries has space booked at Esquimalt for NA until Feb 28. From past experience, clients usually don't book time they have no intention of using. If they simply booked a bit too much time (just in case), she may indeed be leaving for Deas on the 19th, though to me it seems unlikely.

Apparently the workshop were my brother works are doing some work for the Northern Adventure. One of the things they are doing is cabinets and something else. I cant quite remember what else they were doing. Not at the drydock but at their shop. They heard 3 weeks she is suppose to leave to that bring us up past Feb 19th which is the day I thought she would be going to Deas. So she probably will be leaving now around the 28th!

Well I look forward to going on this ship in the summer. Or at least that might be the plan for this year....
