Just thought id let you know, the Garabaldi II Sits In her Same Place, but the JAB has a fully complete hull, and just is awaiting the superstructure to go on

We'll Have to set up a Tour of her soon and I know It won't be easy. It will probably will be on the Denman Island-Hornby Island Route if not anywhere else.

So? What are they gonna name the JAB now? Kwakiutl? Kildonan? Koksilah? Klemtu?

Kitslano... I like it. Kitslano Queen sounds even better.

I forgot how to spell, I was relying on Curtis' spelling.

Does anyone know if the JAB's superstructure is in the vicinity, and if it's visible, has it been expanded?

The Superstructure sits in pieces still, stacked on top of each other, not too far away from the launch they have the hull sitting on.

Work on the superstructure is always faster than the hull. It may be done by late this summer.

that might be good. because the kahloke is due for a refit pretty soon, and they need a boat to replace the klitsa in the winter.

This should free up the Tachek this winter to do whatever

get maintinence done to her? or they could use her to suppliment the Northern routes

That's also a possiblity. The Queen of Chilliwack should be up North most of the Winter only coming down for refit and to free up the Tsawwassen so she can replace the Burnaby and Nanaimo. But I guess they don't really need the Tachek except for maybe the Port McNeil-Sointula-Alert Bay Route otherwise the Bowen Queen can replace the NIP and the other ferries

and if they were to press the Baldi 2, then they could get that working to, and the 2 of them could tag team some of the smaller runs.

Update on the JAB. There is now superstructure on one side of the car deck (the side closer to the Second Narrows Bridge). It looked like the side that the bridge is going to be placed on, as I couldn't really see any passenger area windows....yet...but it's starting to look like a K-Class now!

What does it look like? Is it in the current paint. If not it may be the Queen of Sidney that's the only one I can think it is.
