Yes, 1 is going to replace the Coquitlam or Cowichan, then the replaced C class vessel will go join Super C no.3 on Route 1. Then there will be 4 vessels on Route 2 (Oak Bay, Coq or Cow, Super c's one and 2) The Super Cs are replacing the V Class 1 for 1, so there won't be an increase in vessels on any given route unless they hold onto a V.

Holy smokes, that caused a bit of disruption! Obviously the radio station didn't know which ferries the Super C's are actually going to be replacing.

No they aint, 2 of the Super C's are going to route 2, one to route 1 to replace the Saanich, and a C to replace the Vancouver.

Yes and the Coquitlam will remain at Langdale, and Cowichan will likely be a secondary out of Langdale. It will probably do secondary service on the Nanaimo route as well. It would be interesting if they did a triangle route so they could have select sailings from Langdale-Departure Bay.

In regards to spanish names... there is the Queen of Alberni, which is a Spanish Name... also one ship used to (way back when, I think it is one of the 16 car ones) be called the Cortes Queen
