They'll be named after native bands from the south coast or something. Spirit of the Haida, Salish etc.

PR Queen Kid's idea is good. Queen of Vancouver II for the one out of Horseshoe Bay, Queen of Victoria for the one out of Swartz Bay and Queen of Nanaimo for the one out of Departure Bay.

A few thoughts: Why not stick with the current name schemes("Spirit of..."for the Superferries and "Queen of..." for the C-Class ships)
1: Queen of Sidney II 2: Queen of Victoria II 3: Queen of Sooke 4: Queen of Metchosin 5: Queen of Tofino 6: Queen of Sechelt 7: Queen of Qualicum

Third time around for this opinion:
Break the Queen Of-- tradition, I suggest. Back in 1960, the early BCF Queen names were a direct challenge to CP's Princess names (and maybe Northland Navigation's Princes, and Union's Ladies).
Well, we've won our point. BCF vessels are supreme on our coast today.
I'd like our new ferries to carry names that reflect on the history of seamanship here, honouring brave ships that explored and worked on our coast.
Discovery. Endeavour. Chatham. Sutil. Mexicana. Queen Charlotte. Sea Otter. North America. Plumper. Ganges. Forward. Chameleon. Otter. Beaver ... and many more.
These are names that should live forever, and be known by all British Columbians.
