Well the ones that are going to be retired soon is: Bowen Queen, Howe Sound Queen, Mayne Queen, Mill Bay, Nimpkish, North Island Princess, Powell River Queen, Quadra Queen II, Queen of Esquimalt, Queen of Tsawwassen, Queen of Saanich, Queen of Vancouver, Tachek, Tenaka, Are the vessels I know are going to be retired or sold over the next 15 years, but that still leaves 8 vessels out of the 22 they plan to retire or sell over that 15 years. So that makes for probably the Kahloke, Klitsa, Kwuna, Queen of Chilliwack, Queen of the North, Queen of Prince Rupert, Quinsam, and Quinitsa. So that still leaves the Queen of Alberni, Queen of Burnaby, Queen of Capilano, Queen of Coquitlam, Queen of Cowichan, Queen of Cumberland, Queen of Nanaimo, Queen of Newwestminster, Queen of Oak Bay, Queen of Surrey, Skeena Queen, and the Sprits of BC and Vancouver Island to remain in the fleet a bit longer. I'm not too sure about the replacing of the Queens of Burnaby, Nanaimo, and Newwestminster or the Queens of the North, Prince Rupert, and Chilliwack. I'm not sure which 3 they would replace, but thinking about it some more they would probably keep the Queens of Chilliwack, Prince Rupert, and the North a little bit longer. I'm not saying that's all definitely going to happen but that's just a rough guess from what the BCF site says to replacing 22 out of 35 of the current fleet. So the replacing of some of the vessels some of us treasure, like the K-Class, or Q-Class I should say for short will be gone soon I hate to say, then obviously the C-Class will be next in line by the end of the 15 years. So this is a start to all of the ferries that will be part of the Newbuild program.

Then what do you suggest will be retired instead of them? The Cumbie and Cappie? I think not.

I know they won't be retired for a long time yet, I was being sarcastic with what other 2 ferries should be retired which has to be the Quinsam and Quinitsa and the C's,Skeena,Spirits, and Northern Ferries will be the only original fleet around for another decade or so after this decade and a half plan.

BCFerries fleet yes, but what about the Seaspans? and the Mill bay I am planning to buy, terminate it's current route in the summer, and use it as a ferry of my own, like if the Ironworkers Bridge is shut down, or the Lions Gate, they can have mill bay to take the cars across, and but some portholes in the lounge downstairs, use the Mill bay across burrard inlet sometimes, and return her to the Mill-Brentwood Bay Route when the Malahat is closed, but there is a difficulty with terminating the route at all, there are shops on Verdier Ave that depend on ferry traffic for business.

Ok then, I will permit BCFerries to sell the ferry to me when I have the money, I require a lot I suppose. 2010/2011 for Mill bay, and NIP in 2012/2013

I think BCF sold it in 1998, or they retired. I'm really not sure. This would probably be a good question for the BCF employees on this board.

Here is a brief guess of what ferries will be sold first. The average age of BC Ferries’ vessels is 32 years. With the Newbuild program, we are looking to retire several older vessels. The first vessels to be retired will be the Queen of Tsawwassen, built in 1960, the Queen of Esquimalt and the Queen of Saanich, both built in 1963, and the Queen of Vancouver, built in 1962.
