Yes, that's an international marine law. My dad once had to tow another pleasure craft with our boat. It had run out of battery power or something.

How are we lucky that the Capilano could do it? She's got 7, 000+ horsepower and she probably weighs 10 times as much as the 'Lynx.

7,200 HP to be exact and the lynx would have the HP to tow her. and so would the cappy. but the lynx has less weight, and is lighter allowing for more HP to be used in towing. i think there is too much wake to try...OMG i though of something. The Lynx and the Quinsam in a Tug of War

The Lynx and the Quinsam in a Tug of War I think the Quinsam would win. How heavy is the 'Lynx? Because the Quinsam has 2, 080 hp packed in her and she's 1, 458 tonnes (loaded).

Doesn't matter how many horsepower, there is a lot to consider, like hull velocity, torque, etc.

Exactly, maybe the Quinsam and the Quinitsa could have a go. Close sisters, It would be neat to see what Happens. Then Bowen Queen can go up to Nanaimo and Fill in for Quinsam, then the Kahloke for Denman-Buckley Bay. Tachek can go onto the Denman-Hornby route for the day.
