It is too late. The deadline was yesterday. I already submitted one. All signs point to eternal doom.

The rear doors are opened to air out the car deck, it is like when the Tsawwassen docks at Saltery Bay, they open the bow doors just to air the car deck out.

That's actually not so much a rare sight. Most of the Major Ferries open up all of the car deck doors, to keep good airflow going throughout the ship. When I was boarding the Oak Bay last weekend on the circlepac trip, there was a traffic director wearing a gas mask. I guess it can get pretty bad down there.

Don't you mean the Esquimalt or was there one on the Oaky too?, they get better goods than our loaders, you don't even get a gas mask and still have federal funding.

The Queen of Burnaby often does open the front door when unloading at Westview (Powell River)

More photos of the QPR that are more or less of the right aspect ratio. All photos were taken on film SLR cameras except the one in BCFS colours: This latter photo, from the DOT collection, is of the QPR dressed up as the Victoria Princess in Victoria during the summer of 1980. Strong Skier can choose from among these if he likes.

All the crew aboard all the vessels have the option of a gas mask now, I'm not sure if it's Union or WCB or who, but it's becoming more and more common.
