Well I was on the Albion Ferries today after visiting a friend. I was amazed of how unbusy they were (this was around 6:00 PM). When I rode into the Fort Langley side the Kulleet was unloading and there must of only been 30 cars lined up. I went on the Klatawa first, but we departed late due to a LONG log boom passing by. The ferry wasn't even full (that's not to expect on them). There is a good viewing place of the Ferries at the Albion Government Dock about 100 meters down the road (east) too. When i get a digital camera I'll take some photos from there. Came back on the Kulleet. Enough said.

no. 1 boat runs till 1 am. but both boats run till 11:00pm, then 1 boat resumes @ 4:00 am, and the other boat starts @ 5:30am. it used to be different. but more traffic waranted more sailings. 4.5 Million cars a year.

I heard of 6-7 sailing waits during rush hour recently according to the radio! Where can you park on the Albion/Maple Ridge side if your gonna walk on?

Albion has it's own parking lot. Maple Ridge I think you have to park at the restaraunt.

Maple Ridge is Albion I thought?? Fort Langley is where I have parked before and walked on which is the other side if you come from Langely!

Hmmm... this sounds like a job for TRANSLINK!! TranLink sez: Two vehicle ferries offer free, frequent service from Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows on the north side of the Fraser River to Langley and Surrey on the south side. * The Albion Ferry service is included in TransLink's Major Road Network because it functions as a vehicular travel corridor across the Fraser River, east of the Port Mann bridge. * Keep abreast of possible lineups and delays by tuning into your local radio traffic reports. Well, I call it Albion. You can call it whatever you want.

For a 6-7 sailing wait, why wait and not just drive around?

Avoid excessive lineups on the Port Mann.

I know it seems crazy to wait like over an hour for a 5 min river crossing when you can drive around! At rush hour though probably backed up everywhere!

and you can get alot done in the parking lots while you wait, vs driving around and waisting fuel

Six to seven sailing waits is only average...I've heard it as high as 15 before. That's like 400 cars. Why drive to the Port Mann? The Mission Bridge would be the way to go if you're heading around. And yes...Albion is Maple Ridge.

360 ish, and yeah that happened when there was an accident on the mission bridge, and only 1 vessel operating.

And yes...Albion is Maple Ridge. This makes me angry. And you won't like me when I'm angry. Since I cannot slap people over the internet, you got away this time. But don't get any funny ideas from this. Albion is Maple Ridge, not Langley. Albion is Maple Ridge, not Langley. Albion is Maple Ridge, not Langley. Albion is Maple Ridge, not Langley...
