Is the Queen of Burnaby still around? Or has it been sent away to be scrapped? Just curious if there's any way to see it from a distance if it's still here.

I have just saw that the Queen of Burnaby has moved further back so I think it is now better to go to the "BC Ferries employee & contractor parking" at Deas dock, this is the Queen of Burnaby today from there:

I'm trying to find that on Google maps, how did you get in there that close? On street view it looks closed off, but I might be in the wrong section.

There is a road that is next to the railroad tracks where near the main Deas dock which goes to a parking area that can see the Queen of Burnaby looking over a fence, it was open when I went there

I can't believe BC Ferries still hasn't sold or scrapped the Queen of Burnaby yet. It's quite ironic that it's outlived its sister, the Nanaimo, even though the Nanaimo was actually in good enough shape when BC Ferries retired it that it was able to be used in Fiji for a few years.

It is kinda too late to sell it considering asbestos black mold and some really bad materials onboard the interior is all ruined from weather and the doors and windows being open and also the vessel is not seaworthy and it missing a lot of stuff mostly from giving it to the nanny when she went off to fiji Like seats engine parts and generators and also the vessel has no source of power and does require tugs It is pretty much just a floating barge she is in worst condition then queen of tsawwassen some how Also the burnaby structure is really not in great shape paint is peeling and the outside decks are a mess and I am pretty sure one of the rudders is sitting on her bow.

I would not even offer 1 thousand dollars considering the condition of the burnaby.

Re the BC ferry photo: Its taken at Tsawwassen Terminal; the berth that is today numbered '2'. The ferry is therefore almost certainly not the Burnaby, but is either the Esquimalt or Saanich. The Burnaby served on Route Two and this photo is not Horseshoe Bay, or Departure Bay for that matter.

Is the northern adventure tied to the burnaby? It appears Northern Adventure is tied to the shore. The mooring line looks like it crosses in front of Burnaby's bow.

Oh is she beached considering she looks a little bit titlted I don't think so, maybe the Queen of Burnaby is floating tilted or maybe it is just the angle of the lens. And for the Northern Adventure it looks like that normally when not loaded I think.

That's awesome! I might have to take a trip over there too, is that also an employee and visitor parking lot?
