Karl has given me permission to post some photos from his Facebook albums. - I've adjusted the contrast & colours a bit, and here are some of his photos relating to this thread: ------------------------------- - Skeena Queen near Swartz Bay - at Esquimalt Graving Dock - at Fulford Harbour - at Swartz Bay, berth-1 - looking up Fulford Harbour and seeing Skeena and Bowen Queens - leaving Swartz Bay on a windy Dec.24th.

I'm honestly surprised with how empty that sailing was. I suppose I forgot to take into account that most people probably rather be taking care of their kids in preparation for back to school. Oh well, I shoulda shined up that gong for you.

Stepping back in time to 1997, here are three of my grandfather's photos of the Skeena Queen. Launching at Allied. Two from the open house at Canada Place. Did any members here attend this open house?

Skeena Queen, as seen from atop Mt. Maxwell on Salt Spring Island. - in the evening in mid-October 2011. - coming into my view, from the Fulford Harbour terminal area Powering up, as she heads out of the terminal area Nice close-up from up above - Leaving Fulford Harbour area. I like the smoke cloud above her. - notice the Cumberland in the background up near Portland Island. Rounding Isabella Point, heading for Swartz Bay

Excellent photos of the Skeena, Flugel. The park you were at is called Drummond Park.
The Skeena looks pretty good despite having not seen a refit in over 2 years, and won't be until January 2013 for her quarter life refit.

Sunrise views of Skeena Queen on October 19, 2011, from top of Mt. Maxwell. - I love the patterns that the current makes on the ocean surface - with a RCNavy ship
