Gonna have another Party on the Esquimalt? I'll be wearing the bikini this time. (just kidding, sorry to make you vomit.....) Wait for the video "Ferry Nerds Gone Wild"... You've been watching a little too much Spike TV after 12, Flugel Horn.

Would it be a good idea to reserve DPB-HSB and Langdae-HSB?

Would it be a good idea to reserve DPB-HSB and Langdae-HSB? If you 100% have to be on a certain sailing, and if it's a summer weekend, then "Yes", I would recommend reserving.

I have reserved the 4:20 Queen of Esquimalt sailing on Sunday from Langdale and going back from TSA so anyone else want to join us on the Esquimalt better reserve if you are driving.

Notice to the mainland drivers reservations on Saturday are sold out for the 8:30, 9:55, 10:40 sailings from HSB to Nanaimo. The only morning sailing available you could get a reservation for would be the 6:20am. I know alot of you were planning to take the 10:40 so I dont know what traffic conditions will be like from HSB but reservations for those sailings are sold out. Also the only available sailings for reservations that morning from TSA to Duke Point are the 5:15am and the 7:45am sailings. And TSA to Swartz Bay no sold out sailings yet for reservations!
Also if you plan to take the Queen of Esquimalt sailing with me Flugel and Graham the 4:20pm the sailing we are on is still available the other two Esquimalt sailings a booked.

Well then better get to HSB just as the 9:20 is leaving just so then I make it. I hate taking risks but I guess that is what I will be doing. Langdale is not too bad on Sundays during the late afternoon is it?

I guess I should of been a little bit more on top of this, as I was afraid this was going to happen. The sailings to get to the Island, that would be most convienient, are all booked up. Just as I thought Route 30 could be a back up, sure enough, the 10:15 is booked. Soo....what do we do now....

You will have to chance it or take the first 6:20am sailing out of HSB or the 7:45am out of TSA. Like I was saying before we really have to get this organized. I reserved on Sundays for this Sunday coming back so I got the reservations for $15.00 instead of $17.50. August is the busiest time for the ferries which is why reservations are going like weeks in advance.

Would it be advised to get there before the sailing before or two sailings before if you do not have reservations? I am going to be staying near YVR the night before. Langdale I am guessing will not be very packed until later at night.

Langdale was packed on Sunday afternoons as far as I could see so this Sunday coming back it will be busy! Luckily I am reserved. But at HSB you should get there really early if you wanna make the 10:40 probably just after the earlier ferry leaves would be a good time to arrive. If you dont make the 10:40 you wont make the 3:15pm from Comox.
Also to anyone who hasent booked a room yet you probably should soon as I just found out there is some goofy blackberry festival going on in Powell River that weekend so hotels might be booked up.

I think I might try to get down to Horseshoe Bay, as if I were to catch the 8:30. The Coquitlam will be running as well, so it wouldn't be such a bad thing if we somehow managed to get on the 9:55. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

My mentioning this is probably inconsequential, but regrettably I won't be making this trip.
You have no idea how much sleep I have to catch up on... and er, money to earn *gulp*...

Sorry for asking again, Chris, but would it be alright if I get a ride with you? You already offered once, so I'm sure it's OK, but I haven't seen you on MSN too often lately....

Shane, if I were a moderator, I would be having to do an HCMS if you see what HCMS did to Karl's post. Yes, I'm booked near YVR and booked for Powell River, I will be starting the journey tonight.
