Talking to Graham on the phone he says "We're having a good time and also got on the bridge of the Burnaby."

Okay I just got back and it was a great trip. I met up with the guys at the terminal while they were buying their tickets. We Boarded the Ship and we soon departed. Chris Recorded the Horn. and we walked around the ship. We soon docked and Walked around Blubber Bay we walked along the road through the Quarry and walked back toward the terminal. We soon took our pictures of the NIP coming into Blubber Bay and soon reboarded. We got up to the bridge on the way back and then got off. We then saw the Queen of Burnaby coming in and Graham decided to get some photos from the off limits area beside the dock aparently he got some nice shots (At least he didn't get caught). We then walked to the Motel since Rocky Mountain Pizza was closed. So some of them ordered pizza and when I left they were driving to get some food from Mc Donalds or somewhere. So overall It was a great trip

The trip was lots of fun, especially when Graham did his signature "Do anything to get a good picture" plan... After climbing out on the the old condemed dock trying to get the "best" pic, I'm surprised no one(Cops, ferry workers, ect...) tried stoping him... Once we got back at the motel we checked out the big collection of old ferry books(Queens of British Columbia, Dogwood Fleet, just to name a few...) and old schedules and memorabilia that everyone brought along... And we read Mac's post about his phone call to Graham on the Burnaby. Then Karl, Scott, Doug, Graham, Chris and me went to McDonalds, and sat there and had a few laughs about such topics like random stuff from the forum(Remember, what's said in McDonalds stays in McDonalds, haha) and the workers at the restaraunt taking more than 10 minutes to make my Fillet of Fish and ending up getting it with half of the cheese slice missing, it still tasted good though as usual, with my obsession with Jr. Chickens and Fillets(Yummmm!)... And then I got a lift to with my place from everyone, where we eventually stood in the front yard talking about random stuff that started to remind me of King of the Hill(All we need are some Cuban cigars and beer, haha, jk). But, yeah it was a great time! Hopefully We can do this again sometime...

There's always next year...
It sounds like everyone had a good time. As did I, spend a solid 10 days in the forest section of Herald on the Shuswap. Also, I went river rafting on the Adams River, twice, and rented a 18 foot boat to go tubing. Sadly, I imagined you having the time of your life on the Esquimalt, then I invisioned Graham and Karl tubing behind the Esquimalt. That cheered me up for the most part. Oh well.
Hope you folks had a good time.

Looks like I'm the first to check back, as one of the people who actually did the whole trip. Everything worked out very well, and we all managed to get on all of the Ferries and sailings we had planned to take, with no problem at all. We picked a really good weekend, and this will definitely be something to remember.

Sounds like it was good times. I met up with the gang for the 4:20 out of Langdale along with Curiously Unconcious (Mike).
I heard some talk that there might be another trip in the near future while the Chilliwack is on the Jervis run. Hopefully I can join in on that entire trip.

That was an awesome trip!! But because we stopped in at McDonald's three times on the whole trip, in addition to the ferry fares and motel, I only had $5 left in my wallet.
Speaking of laughs...what was that strange music last night...?

Look for a guy with a grey shirt and light blue pants wearing a black BCF cap carrying a black camera case with 2 BCF pins and wearing black flip-flops. For the record, "PR Ferries Teen 16" was dressed exactly as advertised above. We are a very precise bunch. We can argue the exact shade of blue (pants) on another thread (a thread about threads), so that this thread doesn't go off-topic. PS: since no one has posted that they would meet us on the North Island Princess dressed in a black mini-skirt and black fishnet stockings, I suppose that the young lady wearing that attire was simply a local on her way home, and not part of our group??

And now for a little summary of the trip, Chris style. Just a nice picture I took of the Esquimalt departing Horseshoe Bay. We were onboard the Oak Bay. Model of the Super "C"s onboard the Oak Bay. Graham was on the 9:55 out of Horseshoe Bay, and apparently it was rerouted around Bowen Island. I guess that explains why it's so late leaving here. I pulled a Graham and snuck into the upper lounge onboard the Burnaby. Onboard the North Island Princess. Limestone mine at Blubber Bay on Texada Island. Chris at the helm of the North Island Princess on our visit to the bridge on the return trip. Shane at the helm. Graham taking pictures from the closed off government wharf. The terraced motel with the VERY steep driveway. A joyful Mike (Flugel Horn) putting on sun screen. Is that the Powell River closed-government-wharf-trespasser? Very dangerous. The Esquimalt arriving at Langdale to take us home with the Stormaway II following closely behind.

I had a great time of travel and fellowship. Sunday's ferry trips on Jervis Inlet and Langdale featured spectacular scenery.
On Jervis Inlet however, there's much evidence of ugly clearcut logging.
From the Langdale route (as well as on Route 2), I've found a new "awsome mountain" in Mt. Garibaldi.....I find tall rugged mountains to be awe-inspiring, and Garibaldi is certainly that.
On the Route-2 ferry home tonight (Coquitlam), we saw 5 cruise ships, and did a close-up pass-by of the Celebrity Infinity.
Meeting the various forum-regulars in person was good, and provided me with plenty of context for viewing their postings on this forum.

The one thing I was quite peeved about, was the fact that I had completely forgotten to buy a circlepac, at Horseshoe Bay. It was just as I was pulling up to the booth at Comox, that I had realized I forgot.... I like the shot of the back of my head, Doug....... Now is HMCS Nanaimo doing some sort of disco/hip hop move, or is he putting on sunscrean? I think we all scared HMCS Nanaimo pretty badly, after we got back from Mcdonalds last night, with Dougs banging on his door, while he was watching a movie. But yeah, quite the trip. I'm really tired now, after all of the driving, wandering the Ferries, and being kept awake with the Punjabi Music playing, somewhere around the Motel.....

I like the shot of the back of my head, Doug....... LOL. Well, I was just getting my camera out when you turned your head...and your "turn" was almost up. So I decided to snap one then and there. Better than none, I say.

Sadly, I imagined you having the time of your life on the Esquimalt, then I invisioned Graham and Karl tubing behind the Esquimalt. That cheered me up for the most part. Is that perhaps the sole disappointment of the trip? Now has anybody actually done it? Tubed or waterskiied behind a ferry, that is... I would sp[/] love to see a video of that...
I propose an instant promotion to Senior Captain, after the release from jail on abuse of bc ferries property...
If the tuber (weird term eh?) had a RED tube, and a Santa hat, I can envision the "Merry Christmas" BC Ferries Gift Card already.

d*** it, summer is almost over, it's too soon! (gulp) I wish it wasn't so close. That means that terror the under 18 members don't like is nearing. You know what I mean.
