I dunno about the Esquimalt going just yet. She will probably sit in Berth 2 tomorrow until the Queen of Surrey comes, so the Queen of Surrey crew can drop her off and then head back to Langdale with the Queen of Esquimalt. But then again when the Queens of Coquitlam and Cowichan have to be out for a few days they might use berth 2 so maybe the Esquimalt will go to Langdale sometime between now and the next 2 weeks.

She's now back! She's sitting in berth 2 at Departure Bay. I'm assuming she got there when Scott said she was going to come at 1:00. So she is now useful in the fleet again.

She has arrived! I was down at Departure Bay today and saw her. The funny thing is that she departed berth 2 about 2:15pm turned around and backed in. She is now tied up with the Horeshoe Bay end to the Dock.
I was in Vancouver yesturday and I saw her tied next to the Panamax.

Hmm I wonder why she is Horseshoe Bay end into berth. Trying something new maybe? or just seeing if she still fits in the dock on both ends still.

Joe, I was about to reply.....
"the Oak Bay is oriented the same direction as the Coquitlam and Cowichan. This is different from pre-midlfe as the Surrey and Oak Bay have traditionally been oriented the opposite way." But it seems the status quo has returned?
The ship arrived at 13:40, I was on the Queen of Esquimalt's extra sailing, which was interesting as it loaded from Berth1!! It's narrow. I also re-affirmed my hatred for the V Class. They suck.
The Queen of Oak Bay looks good though, lot's of amller changes made to the Coqu and Cow over the last 1/2 years have been incorporated from the get go I notice, including the big fans. Interior, from what I could tell, was on the whole identical.

That's a good photo, too bad it wasn't sunny out there. I'm assuming she was on her way to Departure Bay?

Yeah the BC Ferries logo on the side looks better when it's bigger, like on the Coq and Cow.

But they didn't want to make the same mistake they made with the Cow and Coq so the car deck windows were done different

Why dident the take out the middle car deck windows?? Then they would of been able to make the logo bigger like on the Cow and Coq. What was wrong with the Cow and Coq that they dident want to make another mistake? It's probably mentioned before but I dont want to search for the topic again!

I rather have windows than a bigger logo, gives for well needed ventalation.

It's odd to me they did the windows the way they did. Just doesn't look symmetrical, or it may just be the obsessive compulsive in me.

The Horseshoe Bay side has alot more windows than the Nanaimo side does too. But hey, they didn't use that many fire windows this time either, but they didn't bother to put 2 more windows near the front.

The air quality was the problem with them I say that the center car deck windows for the main car deck are messed up

The Solariums on the top are at the ends like where the bridges are on the ends. I also think there is two decks of passenger deck space instead of one.

The car deck windows are all messed up she needs to go back for another week to get those windows at the Departure Bay end put back in the embarktion area at the Departure Bay end doesn't look the same without the windows right below it I never noticed it until now but she looks bad at the Departure Bay end in that photo Scott took I think she's not exactly ready to start

But do you think BC Ferries really care?? No, they should of taken more of the middle windows out to allow for the bigger logo and kept more of the windows at the Naniamo end. I must say she does look different with those Naniamo end windows gone!

You're right and it's not right I think they took out the windows there for no reason I think thats where the BCF logo should go
